DIABETES
To understand diabetes, one need understand how the body process glucose derived from things we eat and drink.
Let create a picture.
So you get some nice meal.
Eba, Amala, Akpu, Pizza, Ice-cream, Cola drink etc #Medmadeeasy
The food and drink is mixed with various chemicals - breaking down the complex molecules to smaller one that can be absorbed by the intestine
The intestine absorbs these smaller particles from the mixture. Since we are talking diabetes, we will focus on glucose. #Medmadeeasy

For a reason I can't seem to fathom, I woke up this morning in a solemn mood. This is my usual mood when I introspect on myself, my life or my profession and sometimes all.
This time however, it was about my my profession; Medicine.
I remember Prof. Oremosu and his constant "brilliant student" chant whenever we get something right, constantly urging us on.

1/ The following events are purely fictional and a figment of my imagination. Any resemblance to anyone dead/alive is purely coincidental.
This is also an intellectual property.
2/ While you sit back and enjoy the tale, please pay attention to the underlying messages.
This will be written in series, spanning a few days to weeks. Please stay tuned. 😁😁😁
Grammatical/Spelling errors are regrettable.

The greatest tool a doctor in a making a diagnosis is not the stethoscope he carries around his neck. It is his/her ability to take a good history.
Sadly this is as much the doctors job as it is the patient job
A thread to make the best out your medical consultation fee.
Consultation:a meeting in which someone talks to another about a problem or a question
A discussion about something to be decided.
