Seeing tons of ppl discharged from the ER/hospital that are very sick but covid, influenza, RSV are all negative

I am seeing more testing in the last 3-4 weeks than in the past 6 months. Positive change but I have some questions/suggestions about whatā€™s going on -Testing patients with respiratory symptoms and pneumonia once in the ER may not be adequate even with PCR

-Should hospitalized patients be retested after 24-48hrs even with PCRs?

-Maybe we need to do covid stool testing on patients that are admitted?

Telemedicine coverage only extended until March 31st.

Was supposed to be a two year extension but unfortunately some politicians didnā€™t want to support this & killed the bill

8 billion for wars but canā€™t simply extend telemedicine for patients esp elderly & disabled ppl people? The specific extensions that were passed if you want to read it for yourself.

Applies to Medicare Image

I love when ppl say well how come other doctors donā€™t think that precautions are necessary

My answer is: itā€™s bc they are stupid & donā€™t read or have real life experience with treating COVID

Iā€™m not going to apologize. Donā€™t ask stupid questions I guessšŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø Iā€™m not sure why anyone thinks telling me what other ignorant ass ppl are saying or doing Will change my recommendations

I donā€™t have to change my recommendations bc they have been and will continue to be right

Evusheld tx my long COVID

Evusheld is a combo of 2 long-acting monoclonal antibodies
Tixagevimab/cilgavimab

in 2021 I got this tx for acute COVID infection
ā¬‡ļø
Prevented me from becoming hospitalized, I felt better within 45 mins of injection & my long COVID from 2020 resolved Studies show that As a treatment, Evusheld showed a significant decrease in the mortality rate over the placebo group (pā€‰=ā€‰0.01) in COVID-19 patients.

Exercise does not prevent contagious diseases

The only thing that guarantees not getting sick from a contagious disease is not getting exposed to the contagious disease

Please stop with the ableist delusion You canā€™t exercise to prevent leprosy, mononucleosis, Ebola, Covid, chicken pox, shingles

Thatā€™s not how any of this works

If you have a doctor that minimizes COVID complications just let them know to look up the ICD10 codes for COVID

We have multiple codes that are supposed to be used for diagnosing COVID related complications

Airlines not requiring COVID testing makes it far more dangerous than it needs to be for at risk or immunocompromised people to fly

Most will just opt to not fly. Even when they need to. ERs should be required to test every patient for COVID like they are required to do an EKG as a part of the triage process.

Please stop going to doctors that are minimizing COVID

Please stop listening to doctors that donā€™t treat COVID that minimize COVID

Please stop following me for COVID info if ppl are going to to push the rhetoric that doctors donā€™t care about COVID..itā€™s weird I can very easily go back to not tweeting about COVID and focusing on my life

If she had said COVID even once that speech would have been so much better. Itā€™s like itā€™s not even on their radaršŸ˜µā€šŸ’« I beg politicians to ask the doctors that they consult if they actually see COVID patients + provide treatment, & follow up with them before taking their advice about COVID policies
Fine politicians arenā€™t experts in everything but they do need to make sure the experts r credible

The absurdity of this situation is going to be haunting me

Every single day this week Iā€™ve had to be the one to break it to ppl that their GI symptom +/- respiratory symptoms are likely due to COVID even though they have seen other Drs & sometimes been to the hospital A lot of these ppl just had no idea that it was even possible that the GI symptoms were related to COVID. Though variants since 2020 had GI symptoms

Most 99.9% r grateful & often thank me for taking the time to educate them & provide info + meds that will help them feel better

might be helpful to share this with your primary care doctor & healthcare team

Among healthcare workers, those in who work in primary care rather than the in-patient hospital setting, may have faced the highest risk of dying from COVID

jabfm.org/content/demogrā€¦ ā€œAmong the physicians who died(from Covid 19), the largest subset (26.9 percent) included general practitioner/family medicine/primary care doctors.ā€

Friendly reminder that monoclonal antibodies do in fact work and weā€™re doing the public a disservice by not having them widely available in the out patient setting.

When we had them in Fl it made a huge difference in recovery post COVID, far less long term symptoms. The patients getting it in the hospital currently are doing significantly better than the ones who donā€™t
