Sportscenter segment on the level of competition the Thompson twins faced at Overtime Elite. The idea that scoring was easy doesn't line up with what I saw in person or on film, especially in the OTE Finals. Actually thought they were extremely well-scouted and game-planned for.
The size, length and athleticism in the OTE Finals was similar to what we see in high-major college games; Five players with wingspans of 7'4, 7'1, 6'10, 6'8, 6'7, and the opposing team's entire game plan centered on slowing them down with a variety of zones and PNR schemes.

The 2022 NBA draft early-entry list was released last night. 283 players - 247 players from colleges and 36 international players - declared. That number is way down from 2021, which had 353 players - 296 players from colleges and 57 internationals. nba.com/news/nba-annou…
As expected, Shaedon Sharpe was accepted as an early-entry candidate. Leonard Miller, was not on the initial list, I'm told because he was asked to fill out additional paperwork, which he has. The expectation is he will be added to the early-entry list soon in a separate memo.

The NBA is asking players to complete a pre-Combine questionnaire before July 31 and promises more information regarding the date, format and location of a potential NBA Combine "as those details become available."

The NBA sent teams this week a list of 105 players who received the most votes to be invited to the NBA Combine, should one actually take place. This list would eventually be whittled down to 70 if needed by teams, again by vote.
From our standpoint, its constructive to compare the list of 105 players against those on our ESPN Top 100, to see who was and wasn't invited. Are we too high or low on certain guys? Here's a side by side comparison.
