The 2D Clone Wars show is some good shit
I haven't seen this show in almost 20 years
James Arnold Taylor's Obi-Wan voice definitely improved over the years.

This is a pretty serious GOP gerrymander. Would turn AZ-1 (numbered CD2 on this map) from Biden +2 to Trump +10. AZ-2 (numbered CD-6 on this map) would go from Biden +11 to Trump +2.
Even Mark Kelly would have lost this CD6. That's how much of a gerrymander it is.

Bill Cassidy returning to his Democratic roots.
Both of Louisiana's Senators voted for Al Gore.
How many Senators in the last 20 years do we think voted for the opposite party's nominee at least once?

Keith Russell Judd is the best example of a protest vote. Conservative voters who were registered Democrats didn't like Obama so they opted to cast a vote for some guy in jail. Judd got enough support to qualify for delegates but the DNC obviously wasn't gonna let that happen.
There is no circumstance in which either party will ever allow a primary challenger against a sitting President to win delegates. Both parties actively work to thwart such challenges and write creative rules regarding delegates.

I have uploaded the proposed Illinois congressional district map into DRA. This looks a little risky davesredistricting.org/join/60ce9b5d-…
There are a lot of single digit Biden districts on this map. 13-4 would have been a smarter approach.
Marie Newman might have trouble in a Biden +6 seat that Lipinski would have easily held.

No, it's called respecting people's privacy. Politicians are people too. It is never ever acceptable to confront a politician in a bathroom. End of story.
The people who think it's ok are the ones who think politics is a big game.
Sinema is annoying but that doesn't mean she's evil.

Why are there so many internet lefties obsessed with West Virginia?
I also have no understanding of modern politics. West Virginia is red because Dems have moved left on social and cultural issues.
The few remaining Trump district Dems in WV thrive by being pro-coal, socially conservative, and pro union.

I wish we would get past this trend of cropping old TV shows to a format they were never meant for. Seinfeld was meant to be displayed in 4:3.
I'm remembering the days of pan and scan

I am very curious what Spanberger thinks of the redistricting commission in Virginia. Probably very unhappy because Dems could have easily shored her up. Who knows how the commission will draw the district but it could be unfriendly to her.
If she loses, she probably joins the Biden admin in a national security position.
She would have been an interesting gubernatorial candidate.

In a state that voted for Biden by almost 14%, Republicans have a shot at tying the house delegation on this map. How does that accurately reflect the state's partisanship?
4-4 would be an accurate representation of Colorado circa 2012 but this isn't 2012 anymore.
One commissioner is expressing her confusion as to why Jefferson County is split between four districts on the new map.

The Oregon House will be voting soon on the new congressional map. Members are currently giving their statements on the map. Democrats are for the map. Republicans are not. olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz/mediaplaye…
One of the Democrats who spoke in favor of the bill could be a candidate for the new 6th District.
State Rep. Teresa Alonso Leon is someone to watch. She would be a strong contender for the seat.

This is at least the fourth redistricting cycle in a row where the Connecticut legislature has been unable to pass a redistricting map. For whatever reason, the Dem legislature has yet to make a ballot initiative to lower the threshold to a simple majority.
I would guess the 1980's map was also not drawn by the legislature but my 1984 almanac does not go into detail.
Yes, you read that right. The legislature has not passed a map since at least the 1980's but likely earlier than that.

Random but I love how the Louisiana bayou is such a great Horror setting. I guess probably the best known example is Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island.
1943's Son of Dracula is another good example.
Southern Gothic is one of my favorite genres. I love William Faulkner.

Here's something people might find interesting. These are photos taken during WWII by some of the men my maternal grandfather served with. These were taken late in the war but the island or islands is not named.
I have more but these are the ones I am posting today.
Why I like these photos is they give you a glimpse what every day life was like during the war.

The problem with Bartlet's reelection is that he was the main character and therefore was going to win no matter what. It wouldn't be a very long show if he lost.
also happy to see Mastar Bra'tac show up on The West Wing.

Putting the panhandle with Mormon country is definitely a move. I can't imagine that going over well.
Idaho's congressional district map has looked largely the same for several decades. This would be a huge shakeup.
True Ada County has nothing in common with those northern counties but I just don't think putting the north with the Mormon corner is wise.
