Can someone explain to me how it’s possible that @elonmusk supports reality & yet, my account is constantly throttled, whilst those who constantly deride women & gay people for standing up for reality are rarely hindered to the same extent?
And if I hear “well, it’s …1.
…the algorithms, you see & it all depends on who & why you follow, & what reposts you do”, etc etc, I shall scream.
Is there ANYWHERE where one can just simply ENGAGE & DEBATE without prejudice?
(There isn’t. This is a rhetorical rant.)
Once you lose your freedom to…2.

The thing is , Willett, that’s not what’s happening at all.
In fact it’s the exact opposite. If they were simply saying gay & trans people exist, no one would have an issue.
You ARE indoctrinating kids.
You ARE putting completely inappropriate & inherently sexual materials…1.
…in schools, in books, through workshops etc.
You ARE insisting these kids are taught fantasy, not facts.
You ARE relentlessly pushing Qu*er Theory onto young minds, thus ensuring social boundaries are decimated.
You might well rejoice at this news.
Many gay,bi & trans..2.

It’s quite scary & frightening to think that the pushback we are seeing against gay people worldwide is ALL because we are squished under one damned “umbrella”. Sure, some are able to make the distinction. But many others, including those who’ve only JUST tolerated us for years 1
…DO & WILL NOT. The fact that TRA’s, Q+++ & the pushers of gender ideology have involved everyone’s children AND are hellbent on destroying women’s & girl’s rights in the process, is giving these people ALL the ammunition they’ve been waiting for.
The Q++ brigade has loaded..2

Back in the early 90’s pubs, restaurants & establishments put a little sticker on their windows. It was a small rainbow flag.
It did NOT mean it was a gay place. It meant everyone is welcome, as long as they understood & respected the fact that gay people were welcome & free..1.
…to hold hands, be themselves etc. It was a landmark moment.
But, most importantly, it was a signal to everyone to accept the fact that they were being given their own responsibility for their actions. Ie; “don’t come in if you have an issue with this. If you do, we …2.

I came out in 1986. Not ideal timing. I started working professionally in 1990 & was open about it. I worked with gay theatre companies doing gay plays.
I was told, repeatedly, that being out would damage my career. I was told to keep it quiet. How it would ‘limit my chances’. 1
Don’t forget that back then, in many people’s minds, being gay & AIDS was synonymous. So it was always difficult. But I refused to listen. I know many people to this day who have chosen to remain quiet about their sexuality. Which is entirely their decision.
It didn’t work 2.

“Parents. Please read, so you may learn from us.
Let me explain. My daughter, 6 at the time, was insisting on wearing dungarees & t-shirts day in, day out. She liked her hair short & her outdoor activities seemed to my wife & I, at least, rather boyish..1
She was always climbing trees & playing with other boys, being a bit rough & tumble. We didn’t know quite what was wrong with her but we thought she might grow out of it. Well, nothing changed by the time she turned 7, so we took her to a therapist, who asked her many questions 2

At the beginning, I was shocked & hurt at being called “transphobic”, “right-wing bigot”, “N*zi”, “hateful”, “a f**king T*RF” etc.
Because I, & ALL of the people that know me, family, friends, trans, gay, straight, whatever, are aware that is utterly untrue & a complete lie. 1.
Sure, acquaintances have shunned me, through guilt by association & even people I thought were friends have deliberately & maliciously chosen to interpret my support for women as, somehow, equating to ‘hate’. Which is bizarre. As all sane people understand. 2.

Some life lessons that I’ve learnt in 54 years. (Apply or discard: this isn’t a ‘gentle reminder’)
1. Say ‘thanks’ if a car/bike/lorry stops for you on a pedestrian crossing, or pulls over for you to pass. I know ‘it’s your right’ etc., but it always makes a difference.
2. Never take your frustration with a meal at a restaurant/cafe out on the waiting staff. Unless, of course, they chuck your food at you & say ‘here’s your f*ckin’ food, asshole”.
3. Never, EVER hit an animal. It won’t forget & the bite back will be your fault entirely.

I ‘came out’ at the very start of my career. 1990. I’d already been ‘out’ for since 85/86). My reason for doing so was that I was far more afraid of being ‘outed’ by others, than the repercussions that did somewhat impinge upon my career.
I’ve always believed one should only…
…‘come out’, when one feels completely ready to. When I told people I was gay in those early days, people usually would either shake my hand (really) or say, “You’re not, are you?”, both somewhat uneasy starting points, frankly. But they were simply unused to it. & I got that..

A short, but true, story about growing up different. 🧵
I remember going to an “Underwear Party” at Heaven, the famous gay nightclub, which I’d been to a few times. I really wasn’t up for it, as I was neither buff not particularly good-looking, but naturally I went along to ‘fit… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Once inside, you stripped down to your underwear & handed your clothes to the coat room attendant. The place was teeming with exceptionally good looking men, with a smattering of drag queens. Nothing unusual.
But I felt utterly wretched. Self conscious, aware of guys …2.
