Passenger Update: Departures Road outside Terminal 1 @DublinAirport is now closed to all vehicles. Passenger drop-off has moved to our Atrium Road. Departing passengers can enter via our Atrium (red circle in image). This change will remain in place for the coming weeks. (1/4) 🧵
This is to allow for the installation of covered passenger queuing areas outside of T1, for use if needed over the coming days & weeks. These covered areas will be in place and available to provide shelter for passengers from the early hours of tomorrow (Friday) morning. (2/4)☂️

We've implemented a number of steps to protect your safety when travelling through @DublinAirport. From next Tues, face masks will be recommended for all passengers & only those travelling should enter the terminals. dublinairport.com/latest-news/20…
We have enhanced cleaning processes throughout the airport with specific focus on areas where passengers dwell & on security trays, trolleys etc. Modern electrostatic cleaning will give a deeper and longer lasting clean to surfaces. Social distancing measures in place throughout

We’d like to correct some errors in this tweet. Fact 1: We had fewer than 900 arriving & departing passengers yesterday. On a normal Easter Mon we’d have more that 100,000 pax. That’s not business as usual. The T1 baggage hall, arrivals area & the exit road all look v unusual.
Fact 2: We’re open because Irish Govt policy is that we’re open as an essential business to allow for the operation of vital cargo flights, such as medical supplies, and the repatriation of Irish citizens.
Fact 3. Many passenger flights transport cargo in their belly holds.
