Every PC gamer must accept the reality of the relationship between their hardware and what the software they are running is doing. We have made an amazing and fun and huge looter shooter campaign game. The game is pretty damn optimal - which means that the software is doing what we want without wasteful cycles on bad processes.

When we set out to make a large, seamless world in Borderlands 4, we didn’t quite know what we were getting into. We designed a massive world and we committed ourselves to filling it! Thread: 1/12 We also had the ambition to add mobility and traversal capabilities for the player character like never before. Double-jumping, grappling, dashing, gliding. This makes our seamless world design even more challenging because players can, and will, get everywhere. 2/12

Let’s talk about mini-maps and radar as they relate to navigation and combat design in Borderlands 4. If you stay with it, there’s a gift for you at the end. Thank you. 1/ With Borderlands 3 I have made a commitment to consistency with how things were done in Borderlands 2. I am proud of our record of good will and best-in-class customer value with the main games and with DLC we added as our fans demanded more content. 2/ Borderlands 3 will be consistent with what players have come to expect from prior Borderlands games - except Borderlands 3 is a bigger, better and more valuable experience. We expect that to continue as we look at campain DLC as well.

@LilMcFlurry So this point is about comparing relative features, right? That currently Steam has features that Epic’s store does not? I think it’s a fair point and I’ll be happy to look at that point with you over a few following tweets. Please don’t respond until I say “done”. Okay? @LilMcFlurry First - Please understand that although I may have thoughts and opinions about this topic, the authority here truly is in the hands of our publishing partner, 2k Games. So while I may have some influence, I cannot force anything (and this ship has sailed, so to speak).

1/ Todd Robbins is an awesome performer who is a master of the side-show. He does stuff like hammer a nail into his face or eat a light bulb whole, which is real. He also does some magic, which is fake. I’m going somewhere with this... 2/ He once said (paraphrased), “When I make something vanish (which is a magic trick, and fake), people will swear that it is real. But when I eat a light bulb (which is not magic, and is real) people will swear that it is fake - a trick.”
