I gotta say, I miss the 70s. I was a 7-year old white kid from Cali when we moved to Oklahoma at the height of the busing debates. I recall my older siblings going to HS and the Klan were protesting integration. So my siblings and other kids/teachers ran them the F off.
I'd never seen black people in person before. Only on TV. I wondered into my 2nd grade class and Mrs. Hawkins, an absolutely stunning black woman, was my new teacher. Alisha McCarty, who sat at my table, was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen in my life to that point.
She was, you could say (as my friend Rick used to say) buh-LACK. And gorgeous. We were bused to the NE side of town for 5th grade. We learned to get along like kids do in Oklahoma. Playing football. I introduced Tino to Kiss. He gave me The Commodores.
@BabeReflex_8 FONDY is an online payments service and does some crypto biz. I was surprised to find Alan Apter there. Under "Persons with significant control" we find Stefan Zapotocky, an Austrian national.
I've got something you're may 🤯about. In 1998 a company called Eclipse Aviation was started in Scottsdale AZ. A colleague of Bill Gates started the company and Gates was a major shareholder. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eclipse_A…
They moved production to Abq. New Mexico in 2000. They serviced Albuquerque, Gainesville Florida and Albany NY. In 2008 they went bankrupt and were sold to the lone bidder -> Eclipse Aviation International, formed solely to take over the company.
They decided to start a manufacturing facility in Ulyanovsk, Russia, but canceled the series of jets before any were built there. Now, why is this 🤯? Think first about the locations. New Mexico. Who does Bill Gates know with ties to New Mexico? Epstein? Zorro Ranch.
My youngest turns 18 today. She was accepted to her dream college and has received some substantial scholarships. I'm very proud. She and her mother are having a girl's night in the living room. But all I keep thinking about is a little boy.
My oldest daughter worked in a bank for 10 years. When my granddaughter turned 9 she decided she'd had enough and got a job in the school district. She does some accounting, some go-fer stuff and shares a building with the special needs kids.
She called me last night heartbroken over Rylan. He's 6, and has ADHD, they said. He lives with his momma and her boyfriend in a trailer with no running water or electricity. She got him a coat for Christmas and his eyes lit up. "This will be a great blanket" he said.
@CarrollQuigley1 Remember the FPRI Journal named "Orbis?" Odd, right? Well, maybe I'm late to the party, but Walsingham (e.g; Wals.-Partners->Orbis) was whom Hakluyt reported to on Spanish and French activities in America via his post in Paris. spearswms.com/hakluyts-chris…
He's a trustee for Hereford's Chapel which houses a copy of the Magna Carta. Through a friend (doesn't say who in the first article) it came to the Houston Museum of Natural Science---kut.org/post/how-did-m…
