Companies are within their legal rights to advocate for their positions, participate in rulemakings, and challenge executive agency decisions in court to ensure APA procedures are followed and constitutional rights protected, among other things. This is the United States. 1/8
These businesses should not be chastised or mocked by their representatives, including the USSG, for asserting those rights. 2/8

(1/7) Overall good article in @TIME on e-cig safety concerns. But what is often assumed in discussions re whether e-cigs are “safe” is that these are static products like combustible cigarettes that are what they are and cannot be improved. goo.gl/5HzSqu@Jamie_Ducharme
(2/7) But that is not the case. Rather, these are dynamic, evolving technology products for which nearly all safety concerns have solutions that can be engineered - and, in fact, have been solved in many products already on the market.
