How can a few degree rise in temperatures from global warming cause so much trouble? In temperate climates the warmer air picks up more moisture and causes flooding from rain bombs. In drier areas the extra heat causes limited water to evaporate faster. 1/3 Higher temperatures make for a longer fire season. Farmers need to adapt, which is expensive, and causes higher food prices. Places that once were great for humans become inhospitable. Millions will need to migrate. 2/3
