Some politicians in the West use every opportunity to put the blame almost entirely on China as the culprit for the deteriorating China-West relations. 2/8
They talk about the “Uyghur issue” as a fact and a valid justification for the radical measures the EU and U.S. have taken against China, its officials and trade — this is one way of circumventing one’s WTO obligations and ensuring not being retaliated against through WTO.

Many people know that around 9/11 a kinetic war was declared against some Muslim nations, but not too many people know that around the same time a new Cold War was secretly launched against Islam & Muslims whose noble conservative values were considered an obstacle in the way of the US & allies to achieve & deepen global dominance.

Now, after more than 20 years, people have gathered enough clues from many sources such as leaked PNAC & intelligence documents, confirming initial suspicions about 9/11 events, their real perpetrators & real motives.

India’s external strategic environment has been improving, putting India in a sweet spot.

US influence has been declining in the Arab world, not because US has priorities in Asia, but because most Arabs, people & policymakers, no longer consider America credible & trustworthy, & its model has lost a great deal of its attractiveness.

US decline is visible everywhere. US isn’t leaving a vacuum as some Americans love to claim; wherever it’s considered destructive, US influence is being replaced by influence from countries such as Russia, India & China.

The era of US undisputed hegemony in the region has been broken forever.

The following is a 🧵 on 10 major observations & messages from the speech. 1-The view from Beijing is that the global system is experiencing unprecedented changes & that the current world order transition can’t be stopped, despite the challenges:

“Right now, changes of the world, of our times and of history are unfolding in ways like never before.

Regardless how pundits & observers describe it, the current China-US relations look increasingly like a cold war.

If it looks like a cold war, acts like a cold war, evolves like a cold war & presents itself like a cold war, then it must be a cold war — irrespective of the label. One simple definition of a cold war is “a state of conflict between nations that does not involve direct military action but is pursued primarily through economic and political actions, propaganda, acts of espionage or proxy wars waged by surrogates”.

In a recent speech, US Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, talked about “rules-based order”, as if the world was still unipolar, indirectly indicating that world order evolution should be reversed to status quo ante, keeping US & a tiny bloc of nations on top of the pecking order. She unsurprisingly had some not so nice words to say to & about Russia & China.

She requested China to basically abandon its national interests & meekly join sanctions they’ve arbitrarily & unilaterally enacted.

The world is irreversibly changing; nothing & nobody can stop it.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that the strategy of China’s adversaries is to create anarchy & destruction along the rapidly re-emerging & growing trade lines coming from & going to China.

Their goal is to protect their “negative interests” by disrupting China’s trade even if they themselves get hurt in the process.

Their logic, which is completely self-centered & self-serving, is that as long as their adversary (i.e. China) loses more than they do, then they believe they’re winning — even if that comes at the expense of the rest of the world.
