Bookchin's eurocentrism has always been an annoying feature of his works, but holy shit is it particularly noxious in his introductions to "the third revolution". His devaluation of the 20th century national liberation struggles, his complete erasure of the Korean anarchist revolution, his refusal to mention the Mexican revolution, and his complete obliviousness to the Zapatistas movement are all such obvious showings of his bias.

Thing that shouldn't be a hot take but seems like it might be:

Racial separatist movements of the oppressed are not morally equivalent to racial separatist movements meant to further dispossess the oppressed. Whenever black nationalism is brought up, people correctly point out that black nationalism is not the same as black separatism. This is correct. Black nationalism is an umbrella term used for many movements that seek to foster and develop black unity and empowerment

So much of christianity is based on what effectively amounts to self hate. A perpetual state of guilt that is used to prevent people from actually embracing themselves in favor of some narrow idea of acceptable behavior.

the Soc dem left lexi discourse confirms one of my fears about the ways we have generally argued for queer liberation. Historically, the argument has revolved around whether or not being gay or trans is a choice. This rhetorical device made it easy to compare queer liberation to the civil rights movement, which likely played a central role in increasing queer acceptance.

I think a lot of authentic leftists have warped perspectives on right libertarians, likely because they don't spend any time in right libertarian spaces (the reverse is also true, but that's not important rn). Like, there is this idea that libertarians are mostly weed liking conservatives, but honestly, based on my interactions with them it really isn't that simple.
