‘Jewish power’ in the contemporary U.S. comes from Jewish proximity to whiteness / the fact that most Jews are white and Jews in general are thought of as white.

But it gets *noticed* because of our Jewishness — the thing that makes us distinct, different, marginalized. To some people following Ye & Kyrie these past few weeks, it prob looks/feels like 2 successful Black men are being punished for speaking out against Jews; that Jews are so powerful we can destroy careers. It’s an antisemitic interpretation, but gets at something worth addressing

Maybe the smart thing to do is to pretend I didn’t see this or that I don’t care, but honestly, this stuff hurts. You don’t have to agree with my politics. But trying to invalidate my Jewishness/claiming Jews you don’t agree w aren’t Jewishly literate—it’s not okay.

Yeah...this turned out to be some Chabad guys overzealously offering a Jewish woman some Shabbat candles. So she called the cops on them. Spreading this needlessly fuels fear and suspicion among Jews, about other Jews.

Great job fighting antisemitism, guys! Fueling hysteria among already on-edge Jewish communities by spreading misinformation, and encouraging people to call the police on each other is not making Jews safer. It’s just making Jews more afraid.

Occupation is wrong. Killing children is wrong. Targeting civilians is wrong. Bombing a densely populated area whose borders you control & won’t let people move freely out of is wrong. Knowing a rocket or bomb might kill children & choosing to fire it anyway — that is wrong. This isn’t even a bold stance. It’s just basic human rights. Basic human dignity.

In the minds of white nationalists, this country only belongs to them. It is only for them.

Doesn’t matter to Darren where @WajahatAli was born (California); he’s Muslim, he’s brown, he’s liberal, so he’s an interloper brought here by the “Globalist American Empire” (read: Jews) Anyway, just a reminder that Darren Beattie is both a white nationalist and a white supremacist, and that he still holds a government role Trump appointed him to, so maybe @WhiteHouse should do something about that.

.@itsa_talia appears to have just been detained by MPD. She showed her press pass to the officer. It does not seem to have made a difference. Press is not supposed to be included in the curfew.

No way @NYCMayor’s “reflection” video was scripted, All the jump cuts indicate he just rambled & had his staff attempt to edit it into a statement. The result: A pointless video attributing NYPD brutality to a few “individuals” & “choices that weren’t good choices, it turns out.”

.@RepMattGaetz tried to defend himself from the accusation of antisemitism by saying he's "attacking China," not Jews.

Maybe now is a good time to read about similarities between anti-Jewish & anti-Asian conspiracies, and how the @GOP is currently using them to deflect blame.
