If you guys haven't tried wearing @JambysTime, you need to get one asap. It's the most comfortable thing to wear if you WFH or just want to chill at home
I chatted with @andrewlgoble on how their idea for boxer briefs with pockets became a multi-million dollar biz

Most brands you talk to have most of their team in marketing, but Jambys is the other way around. Andrew is the only full time marketer at Jambys
You can hear his voice across Jamby's copy and their dedication to product really showed in all their launches

I got to sit down with the $100M email marketer @ecomchasedimond to figure out why his emails just work better than anyone else's
3 Key Takeaways ππ»
Keep it simple and be direct
Most people wake up with dozens of emails in their inbox and they only spend seconds on it before swiping away
Declutter and be direct about what you're asking of them, whether it is for their attention to read or to click a link

How can a healthy, prebiotic soda catch the eyes of those who love Coca-Cola?
I asked @eliweisss how a simple DTC product could attract the largest manufacturers like Target.

The answer? Two words. Customer Service.
The execution has to be flawless, meaning you gotta listen to your customers. After all, they are the ones that are directly telling you what's right and what's wrong.

In the 8 years that I've been in the eCommerce space, I've made a ton of mistakes, costing me millions of dollars + wasted time
I can't go back in time to tell myself my learnings, but hopefully, I can help aspiring founders
So here are my learnings ππΌ
1/ Stability over hypergrowth
3 years ago we cracked FB ads for one of our brands, scaling from 100k a month to $1.3M a month in a few weeks
On the surface, we were printing money, 'scaling to the moon'

The driver was in his 40s, was a brilliant mechanical engineer until he became disabled and couldn't do his work anymore
The topic of what I do came up, and at the time, I was building my company meme bible, so I told him I did eCommerce to keep it simple

Be Scrappy
Our first photoshoot was shot in my apt with materials I bought from Walmart. I learned how to edit the pictures on the phone. Without a lot of $, you think outside of the box out of necessity. We used a mix of pictures we shot + influencer UGCs to build our library

Quick game for everyone
This year we spent over $3M through Settle and didn't give up an ounce of equity
If you need cash flow and don't want to raise money, Settle is the quickest option to extend your payment terms without the high fees that other providers are charging
It has allowed us to scale our business by investing in R&D and preparing inventory ahead of time. We used to buy 2-3 months of inventory at a time and now we can buy 4-5 months to hedge against bumpy supply-chain timelines

Been a happy customer of @PostscriptIO for 1.5 years now and I don't think I can use any other provider
While SMS platforms may have similar features on the surface, the way that PS approaches their product and customers is very different
Reasons why I'm a forever customerππΌ
Postscript isn't one of the largest SMS platforms out there, and that's actually a good thing
This means they're able to iterate faster, give customers more time and attention, and focus on experience over profit

8 things I learned doing eCommerce for 8 years
These will save you a lot of trouble that I had to go through via trial and errors
𧡠time
1. Know your hero product and double down on it
Don't try to expand your product collection just to look like a big legacy brand, you'll exhaust your cash quickly and lose focus

This topic came up in my DTC Discord recently so I wanted to make a post on how to increase your AOV with one single app
There are a few places to upsell to your customers: homepage, PDP, cart, checkout, etc
Most people use 2-3 apps to do the above, hereβs how to do it in 1
First, why is upsell/cross-sell important?
For the brand, it helps increase AOV and move inventory
For the customer, they get recommendations to complete a set (sometimes save w/ discount)
Upsell = Make your drink a large
Cross-sell = Add fries to your order

So here's my 4-month review after using @juniphq for Doe
- Incredibly easy to set up
- Much more affordable compared to alternatives
- Customer service is top notch
- Fully customizable emails via Klaviyo
Here are some ways we used them to generate more smiles
1. We paired it with @hiwonderment so that we only send review request emails when an order has been delivered. This is done via Klaviyo with the event triggers sent from Wonderment
No one wants to get asked to leave a review before they get their package, this fixes it

Today, it generates 27,000 organic traffic every month that is worth $162k
We rank for 4,700 organic keywords as opposed to 192
Some stuff we did ππ 1. We built out the AMP pages for the website
AMP is a framework from Google that strips down HTML copies of your website to make it load faster for mobile users
You can load an AMP page in less than a second β‘οΈ

y'all, i'm about to sing
I just worked with the most incredible creative agency that helped us get the creative refresh we need on Facebook, CPC went down, and our CTR outperformed other assets in the collection
I've honestly never used a creative agency for ads before, and didn't know what to expect and whether or not investing money into creatives would be worth it over putting it all in ads
