I know you all don’t like or trust our Police but when they send you an invitation, the best place to rush to is not social media. Here are few tips that can help you when you receive a police letter:

1. Immediately engage a lawyer to advise you on what to do. 2. On every police letter, there’s always a designation phone number to call, immediately put a call across to the number to ask for an extension or establish a relationship before visiting the police on the invitation.

3. If you cannot make it on the appointed date…

When I moved into this estate, I saw a boy (21) who was good with carpentry and I decided to engage him. When I saw that his work was good I asked him why he he’s not in school and he said it’s cos of money. He told me about his good O’level results and I was impressed. I asked him further the course he wanted to study and he said Law. There and then, I told him I would be glad to support him to make his dream come through and promised to keep in touch too. After a week I asked him to come over to help me with a shoe rack and small bookshelf.

Since 1999 that Nigeria started electing their leaders, this is the first time we will be witnessing a chaotic situation where a President will emerge and another one will position himself as the leader of the people, despite losing the election and challenging same in Court. Is this of desperation to lead or greed for power at all cost, that will make you constantly lamenting over the situation and the outcome of an election which you also won in many places unexpectedly? Why are you now in court? Except there’s a plan to provoke an uprising!

This is the peak of absurdity which judges avoid when interpreting the laws, including the Constitution. Section 299 of the Constitution is even very clear enough.

Even the comparison with electoral college is very poor and flawed. Imagine further that another election is conducted and no clear winner still on the basis of this ludicrous 25% in Abuja, what next? Conduct another election till the winner makes 25%? This defeats logic and all canon of interpretations.

Some of my friends have been posting this GRV guy on their WhatsApp status and I couldn’t stop shaking my head. But I’m glad I’ve exercised extreme restraint in engaging them. When did you come to a realization that this guy is good enough to govern Lagos? This same Lagos? I respect people’s right to support & vote for a candidate of their choice but common, when there’s an obvious lack of competence, ability and experience to handle complex places like Lagos, it’s very important to have a conversation. Elections are too important to put emotions.

There’s a consistent pattern of cyber-bullying the judiciary, esp., the Justices of Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. But in this election period, it appears we will witness another dimension to it. It’s understandable if non-lawyers don’t know the implications but the lawyers? What has happened to our fit and proper trainings as learned gentlemen? What has happened to the ethics and ethos of the profession, to the extent that we can’t even engage the judiciary constructively? Is this all cos of politics? Why make such reckless & unsubstantiated claims?

There are three types of lawyers on this app:

1. The ones that appeal to the mob with their political and legal analysis. Even if their views are unfounded in law, they are always correct. They are the only ones doing well, others are with fake lawyers or charge and bail. 2. The ones that don’t appeal to the mob with their analysis of law & politics, rightly or wrongly. They are either fake, charge & bail or unfit to be lawyers & nobody should wish to be like them cos they are a disgrace to the legal profession cos they are always wrong to the mob

In 2021, there was a serious controversy over the planned coronation of Sultan of Shuwa Arab by some indigenes of Borno living in Edo. In fact, the Governor of Edo had to stop them claiming that non-indigenes are not allowed to do that because that’s not their home state. Many indigenes of the state also frowned at it and saw it as an affront on their ancestral roots. It didn’t matter how long these people have lived in Edo. The message was clear that Edo isn’t a no-man’s land.

I really don’t understand this sense of entitlement towards Lagos. Hugely disrespectful to the indigenous people of Lagos. Y’all just don’t know when not to cross the line with this narratives. You developed Lagos, North and entire Nigeria yet you call your states “villages” How do you say these and expect people to feel safe around you? This sense of superiority is getting tiring. Why do you want to impose yourself on people by all means just to feel important? Something is really wrong with those of you that make these claims and you need peace
