Today I had a meeting with Seattle City Attorney Pete Holmes that re-impressed upon me the stakes for the District 4 City Council election.

Pete showed me some of the legislation that the city is currently defending against organized legal challenges in court. What should stand out:

This is +\- a comprehensive list of the progressive gains won by labor, housing activists, and social justice groups in recent years:

Publically financed elections, hospitality worker protections, police accountability measures, a fair tax code, and more.

Sure, #TheMasters were cool…but have you tried:

1️⃣Increasing taxes on privately owned golf courses,

2️⃣Using the resulting revenue to build affordable housing, and

3️⃣Decommissioning public golf courses to put public housing on them?
