US dominance over Venezuela's oil fields now means America gains strategic leverage over a key heavy crude supply line to China (~600-800k bpd pre-disruption, roughly 5-7% of China's imports).

It’s impactful enough to matter in energy geopolitics, as flows can be redirected to US refiners or used strategically, without triggering an existential crisis for Beijing.

A significant Venezuelan production ramp-up is still years away. But for now, it provides the U.S. with a brilliant leverage opportunity.Image

Part 2/🧵

Quick context: Venezuela has long claimed Guyana's Essequibo region, which comprises two-thirds of Guyana's land and is the site of massive offshore discoveries in the Exxon-led Stabroek Block (11b+ barrels found since 2015).

Maduro ramped up tensions with a 2023 referendum on annexation and military incursions that harassed operations.

Now, with US influence over post-Maduro Venezuela, those threats are neutralized.

Essequibo's reserves aren't just protected, but will almost certainly be developed securely under strong US-backed (Exxon/Chevron) interests.

And this isn't small potatoes: Guyana's production has surged to ~900,000 bpd as of late 2025, with more growth ahead.

Anyone fixating solely on Venezuela's reserves is MISSING the bigger picture: US influence over post-Maduro Venezuela, plus Guyana's longstanding backing, effectively UNLOCKS a combined ~2 million barrels per day of heavy crude production RIGHT NOW.

That’s a top-10 global producer equivalent under friendly control: impactful today for leverage, refinery supply, and long-term energy stability.

And with Guyana’s planned projects coming online soon, plus an eventual Venezuelan ramp-up likely, a lot more ‘black gold’ is coming down the pipeline under U.S. influence.Image

🚨BREAKING: Trump DHS officials have CONFIRMED to me:

Santa will be ALLOWED to cross the border tonight.

But they add: “We’ve asked for copy of the Naughty List and are reviewing it. No free rides for invaders, only coal and a one-way ticket home!” BREAKING: A rouge district judge in Hawaii just issued a nationwide injunction BLOCKING Santa's “Trump Christmas Flyover Visa,” whining that it violates "open borders equity."

Judge's unhinged ruling: "If one white guy in a red suit gets a holiday visa-free flyover from the President, why not millions from the third world?”
