Alec Murdaugh's testimony cracked this case for me. Here is my closing argument. I have tried to make it as concise as possible.
Ladies and Gentlemen, over the past 5 weeks, and after dozens of witnesses and thousands of exhibits, the truth has surfaced. Let's begin with the weekend before the brutal murders. AM and his family went to Columbia for a ball game. AM testified that he was suffering withdrawals. He did not attend the game. He stayed in his hotel room sick, shaking, miserable, craving an opioid fix.
