My adult son works at the industry leading camera/lens company in Hollywood. He’s been there 5 years and has worked his way up to being a vital part of the team that works with camera crews and is now a member of his local 600 (camera union)
Back in APRIL they cut all overtime and went to 4 day workweeks limiting them to 30 hours a week and furloughed numerous teams.
The studios have been starving working class employees in Hollywood much longer than it’s been covered by the press.

When I first heard the term “toxic masculinity” I became very defensive. Contrary to my most known work, I’m a pretty “masculine” dude.
After the initial recoil I wanted to learn what it meant.
Upon investigation I learned it means everything that causes my stress and fear.
Being raised believing a man is responsible for providing and protecting triggers a long line of reflexes that develops very early in a boys life.
I bring this up because it’s undeniable our toxic culture for boys is the root of the violence in America.

Conservatives confuse the fuck out of me with their logic.
They claim to “back the Blue” yet relentlessly push for an environment with guns that forces a member of that supposed cherished law enforcement to execute a 6th grade girl in order to stop her murderous rampage.
You can not support law enforcement while making common sense gun legislation impossible to pass.

I’m one hour through it and the majority of the conversation is focused on their christian faith. This whole ordeal is christofascism accelerated.

There was a lot of buzz about DA Fani Willis using a RICO prosecution for the 2020 election interference early in 2021 when she hired John Floyd (he literally wrote the book on successful RICO indictments).

Lots of headlines came from her RICO charges against YSL and Drug Rich.

We don’t know how long a person’s protected from reinfection after a visit from COVID. Anecdotally a friend dealt with two infections 5 months apart prior to vaccine availability.
His second bout was worse than the first and is still dealing with long term symptoms.
My fear is that people infected last winter, being told by pop culture/political leaders that “natural” infection is more protective than a vaccine, will be susceptible again in coming months risking worse disease than they previously experienced.
