The History of Trunks TV Special from 1993 has a TON of Easter Eggs and Hidden References to all kinds of stuff. This is a thread listing all the ones I caught.

#1 - Easy to miss. The balloon the girl is carrying says D.B.SP with either Goku or Gohan on it. Those letters mean - Dragon Ball Special⬇️ #2. A.F. Mail. No that's NOT a reference to Tablos 10 years early or any of that... the A.F. likely stands for ALTERNATE FUTURE as an easter egg for the audiene.⬇️

The "Tree of Godly Might" aka Shinseiju was an idea rooted from an Asian ginseng that DBZ Showrunner Kozo Morishita was gifted but borrows from various mythologies about magictrees that bear fruit. If one EATS the fruit, they get the powers of a GOD. This aspect was censored in the dub. [CONT] The Shinseiju digs deep into the target planet and absorbs all of its nutrients and life energy, very similar to Genki. This is why Goku was able to create a SUPER Genki Dama (Spirit Bomb) packed with energy FROM the tree to one-shot Turless. He gathered MORE energy than just one fruit. [CONT]

OK! So let's talk about where #DragonBallDaima fits in the DB timeline. This is a thread so please read it fully to understand everything.

Daima begins some time after the death of Kid Buu at Trunks Birthday Party. He is turning 9 years old. I don't think Gohan and Videl are there (don't ask, I don't know why) (1/4) In the Buu Saga, Trunks was 8 and Gotenks was 7. Despite translation issues in #DragonBallSuper, Battle of Gods in actuality takes place 4 years after Buu and Trunks was 11 or 12 in that story. (2/4)
