Including online readers, just 5 companies (News UK, Daily Mail Group, Reach, Guardian & Telegraph) dominate nearly 80%... A pliant government has allowed wealthy individuals & organisations to amass vast political & economic power & distort the media landscape to suit their interests. Six billionaires own &/or have a majority of voting shares in most of our national newspapers...

This exemplifies everything that's wrong with the licensing system. A persistent offender who is demonstrably incapable of operating dangerous machinery in public spaces is allowed to drive again, with the 'exceptional hardship' excuse.

1/5 Image I'm not aware Liddle was passing himself off as a comedian these days, but if he is he needs to think about his new career direction because advocating violence against others is far from a laughing matter.

Local council @RedditchMatters plans to demolish a ped bridge & re-route #NCN5, forcing 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️ & walkers to cross the rat run it spans.
*AT THE SAME TIME*, the council is to straighten the road, removing bends, so rat-running drivers aren't forced to slow down.

I'm tracking the progress of my replacement phone which @YodelOnline is delivering. Currently it's 74 deliveries away - but the map indicates the Yodel van has been driving around a small town 5 miles from here for the previous 14 drop offs... Surely in towns many of these could be at a central point (post office, pub or other hub) for customer collection or last mile delivery by cargobike..?
I realise some like mine require a signature, but there must be a simple tech solution.
