MRT Corp has released a mini site detailing featuring details about the alignment, station plans and other details that are also available at the physical inspection sites

A decent thread briefly analysing what I’ve seen:

Landing page of the MRT3 mini website
Elevation alignment profile map
Station context plan map
The physical inspection site with the printed A3 station context plan
If it matters, here’s the link to the website if you’re interested to do any digging by yourself:

KTMB's anti-bike policy on its trains is (literally) hurting recreational cyclists who travel to the countryside on the same day the restriction was announced

Imagine being ejected in the middle of nowhere at 1am - that is what they faced

A thread on their journey:
A notice on KTMB's online ticketing site [Important] Larangan Basikal 28 Mar 2024 10:02 Semua jenis basikal tidak dibenarkan di dalam ETS, KTM Intercity, Shuttle Timuran dan Shuttle Tebrau All types of bicycles are not allowed onboard ETS, KTM Intercity, Shuttle Timuran dan Shuttle Tebrau
Cyclist suffers horrible crash which requires surgery and lenghty rehabilitation after being evicted from KTM Intercity Train a photo of an old man taking a bag out of a train with the caption: Uncle KC, one of our septuagenarian being escorted out from the train by Auxiliary Policemen
Despite having the bikes packed up in bags and even booking extra spaces for it, they were given an ultimatum by KTMB staff: either travel while the bikes stayed at the station with aux. police with no insurance or be evicted

A very tough choice - the cyclists decided to leave

Our timing to pick a holiday couldn't have been worse! While many hotels were fully booked, public transportation was overbooked. Imagine finding ourselves suddenly evicted from our KTM Intercity train at 1 am on March 29 in the sleepy town of Gemas! Our team comprised of members from Singapore and Malaysia. None of us had any problems boarding our trains at JB Sentral, Kempas Baru and KL Sentral respectively. None of the KTM staff stopped us at departure point. It was only when we were on board and travelling somewhere between Layang Layang and Kluang that the staffs went around checkin...
a police man moving a luggage with the photo: An Auxiliary Policeman removing one of our bicycles
a photo of a police man handling luggage with the caption: Our luggage are within the international check in luggage size adopted by most airlines
As responsible cyclists, we researched well in advanced and knew bicycles are strictly not allowed on KTM Intercity trains. But what we didn't know was that our luggage which measures 65 x 25 x 65 cm and is well within the linear size of 158 cm adopted as an acceptable check in luggage internationally is not accepted. I am sure if we had packed our bicycles in a hard case Samsonite luggage bag with roller wheels, we would have made it to Tanah Merah, our final destination without them batting an eye! As it is, our bicycles when folded only measures 58.5 x 27 x 56.5 cm. It is so compact, it...

For a small price starting bid at 50k USD, that is the value of 3 million Malaysians registered on PADU, starting with @rafiziramli’s profile page as a demo page of what’s to come

Just saw that there’s now a 55k bid placed and it’s going higher…

And still no word from anyone…

A screen capture of a profile edit page on PADU for Rafizi Ramli, with the following caption: The Minister of Economy of Malaysia denies the hack at Padu? Well, R00TK1T begs to differ. We're offering the sale of Padu's database while we sneakily grab a screenshot from the Minister of Economy's profile in Padu. Starting price 50K USD, offer your price in a private message to our user @R00TK1TOfficial - Remember the highest bid wins

I would’ve DM-Ing PADU’s account as per his advice but there seems to be no way to do so as it stands…

So after spending a weekend with these vehicles, a good question to ask is: are these trackless trams/autonomous rapid transit the future of transit and is the answer for our cities?

Short answer: absolutely NOT!

A short thread compiling my thoughts on the system: I’ll address each issue with this ā€œtechā€, starting with:
1. Range - this vehicle can only travel 70km on its own charge, yes, ONLY 70KM

This is significantly shorter than standard electric buses

Not a lot is talked about a lot is how far this vehicle can go without charging

Got frustrated lately about how the transit map in KL is now inaccurate and even misinforming for many unfamiliar with the system

So here is a modified map of the Klang Valley transit map, which accurately shows the current service of the Ampang/Sri Petaling Lines and others: The Klang Valley Integrated... You can grab a high-resolution map download here: drive.google.com/file/d/1MREkAu…

A thread explaining the design process starts from here:

Taking observations from what I’ve seen after sitting around Lembah Subang LRT’s bus station for almost 4 hours, here’s what I’ve found so far, a thread: Most people want to go back home, but don’t know how

Messaging from RapidKL is poor - they’ve only done announcing that service between Lembah Subang-Damai has terminated in the trains and that’s about it

The rest of the messaging is done by auxiliary police officers
