On Friday, the 11th Circuit issued a decision in Darcy v Corbitt that compels forced sterilization of trans people in order to obtain a driver's license that matches their gender identity.

As a basic matter, the logic of the court is bound by prior cases on gender affirming care that holds that transgender status is subject to rational basis and thus any policy discriminating on that basis can easily be justified constitutionally.

I received these threats this morning. They're signed off on Cyrillic and come from a Russian email address. It's the same person who has been doing this to LGBTQ people and schools for two years.

JK Rowling funded and orchestrated a smear job to push a trans woman out of her job as head of a rape crisis center in Edinburgh. The media is running with it. Dr. Ruuttajerttu Kaltiala, a Finnish doctor and paid member of SEGM has been able to completely colonize trans healthcare and push restrictions on care. She was involved in Cass Review, p-hacked research on suicidality in trans youth, and DeSantis' ban on care in Florida.

The latest is a statement from the The European Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry that endorsed the Cass review and pushes for more restrictions on gender affirming care. Kaltiala has had her fingers in nearly every major rollback of trans healthcare in Europe.

This is the most gaslighting bullshit I've ever seen. The NHS has a 10+ year waiting list to access adult transition services. Who the hell is being rushed after waiting a decade to access care?

They don't want trans people to exist. If you signed up for the adult service at 18, you would likely be 30 before you get an initial appointment under the NHS. Add to that a heavily gatekept process that could take years to access hormones and you would be approaching 35 before you even started HRT.

The New York Times is deleting internal employee Slack messages critical of Pamela Paul's article.

It turns out that freedom of speech only applies to those with platforms and access to power. The New York Times is insisting that employee criticisms of articles should only be done through "proper channels."

Last year, they investigated employees who made their disagreement known through a public letter of Times writers.

BREAKING: Florida has taken unilateral administrative action and banned gender marker changes on drivers licenses. Any trans person who has had theirs changed is potentially subject to suspension. Anyone attempting to change it after could be criminally prosecuted for "fraud." If the language used in this directive is taken at face value, any trans person driving with a changed gender marker on their drivers license could be criminally charged with fraud.

This interpretation could potentially apply to anyone driving in the state, including tourists.

As much as AG Ken Paxton loves to bloviate about this stuff, his state has no basis. Media Matters is incorporated in DC and operates in DC. He has no jurisdiction. This is purely a show of force to intimidate people from speaking up about Elon Musk.

I've spent the last day helping terrified students who have been doxed, threatened, and harassed. Many in the Harvard community that led this digital mob against students are now suddenly shocked and walking it back only when they see how bad it's gotten. First, they frame it as "censorship" by an ISP. That's not what is happening. Kiwi farms is unique in that the owner, Joshua Moon, runs his own ISP called 1776 Solutions (formerly "Final Solutions, LLC) that hosts Kiwi Farms. That means he needs to peer his ISP to other ISPs.

I don't even know how something like this passes basic editorial standards. They literally state how she lied on her affidavit. They then let her continue violating HIPAA and the privacy of patients by letting them hand the Times private medical records without consent.
