Okay so my hot take here is that if you want to replace nuclear with renewables there probably is going to be an intermediary step when you rely on fossil fuel generation, due to how the different technologies operate.
I understand the temptation to act like the German Greens haven’t noticed there’s been a ramp up in coal generation since the nuclear has been ramped down, but they’re obviously planning on replacing that too.

This is a fun trick, gender identity is an observable psychological phenomenon, but it’s painted as if it’s some kind of metaphysical belief because it’s intangible.
‘I don’t believe in gender identity’ means ‘I don’t believe that humans have an internal sense of themselves that can include the idea of being male or female’ which is an absurd thing to be pretending to believe.

Just a quick reminder that the official stated position of the UK Government right up until the GRR bill was passed was that it did not create cross-border issues.
Anyone who says the bill was 'obviously' outside of Holyrood's competence (something the UK Government itself is not claiming) or that it was 'obvious' the UK Government would have to block it, is lying.

We should be clear that Rosie Duffield wants the parents of trans kids to subject them to abuse until they act cis.
She (and the rest of them) aren't unaware that a trans (or otherwise LGBT) kid, if forcibly outed to their parents, is at greater risk of abuse.
That is *exactly the point*, they want kids to be either too afraid to come out or to be forced to desist if they do.
While the sharp decline continues for both, the e-u spellers remain ahead of the hated e-w spellers

It's extremely unwise (as this article does) to compare the results of a binary choice between two opposite outcomes to a ranked choice election between multiple candidates.
70% of SNP members who voted gave Humza Yousaf either a first or second preference vote, there is not a 'split' in that sense at all.
He was the first choice of a plurality of voters, and *a* prefered choice of a supermajority.

My take on this remains that if 16 is the age at which you gain voting rights then it should also be the age at which you can be a candidate, but I also think running a 16 year old as a candidate is almost certainly a bad idea in almost every circumstance.
