WOODY: THE WORST DOG IN THE WORLD
A story Woody was a little black & white mongrel, who started his life with a family so bad that they broke his jaw and never got it properly fixed. He was taken away from them by the people in the RSPCA and went to live in one of their shelters. Image

A short thread about a Jerry Sadowitz joke I witnessed, which will include said joke.
Please mute this thread if you don't want to be offended. This is from when I went to see him live, maybe five or six years ago.

Cure your dog of her bad habit of licking plates as they go into the dishwasher by having her collar accidentally get hooked on the loading tray and her panicking and running for it, taking the whole tray with her, trying to escape the wave of breaking crockery that pursues her. Well, it's been a day of dog adventure.
On my afternoon dog walk I spotted Wilson, the Golden Retriever, and his owner up ahead, talking to a lady, also with a Golden Retriever.
I know Wilson well, thanks to his keenness to make Retriever/Malinois puppies with Luna (awww, cute)…

Apropos of nothing, a thought that has been kicking around inside my head.

I've worked for big companies and I've worked for small companies. By and large, big companies pay you more, small companies are better to work for. Small companies are better to work for because of this policy.
Irrespective of what's written down, small companies have exactly one policy:

Do not take the piss.

Purely by chance I happened on a Twitter beef this week, and though it worth recording for the annals of "Women can't have anything".
It involves this account (which I haven't tagged in, for reasons which will become obvious). You can guess where this is going, yes? Image Back in April this rando decided to, out of the blue, attempt to police who they followed. Image

Well, the people have spoken and, in accordance with their wishes, I present…

The Complete* Correspondense of Richard Burgon, MP

*All the ones I could be bothered to find. It started with Richard explaining Labour's Brexit policy. Image

I’m trying to read Bastani’s book, but I really don’t know how much longer I can put up with shit like this. Also, little annoyances…he talks about “Cassandras” who have been predicting the death of Moore’s Law for years, yet have been wrong.
Why use that particular term, incorrectly, when there were plenty of correct options?

There was a thread going on yesterday, asking who was blocked by Edward Lord, which meant I ended up looking at his profile (I'm not blocked, it turns out), and saw this… One of the slides in a related tweet particularly caught my eye.

I see people keep asking why Labour won't adopt the full IHRA definition of Antisemitism. My guess is because they've got no idea what Corbyn and his fellow travellers have said in the past 35+ years. He's had 30 years of people inviting him to speak or write, because he was an MP, and nobody taking any notice of what he said or wrote, because he was an obscure back-bencher.

Come on, then. As it's 8am Sunday, and you're all still in bed, let's do this. If you can summon up the strength to click through to the article it opens with these two lines.

I'd like to take a moment to talk about something that gets mentioned too little…the genius of David Davis. [Thread] A lot of people this morning have been laughing at his buffer-zone (BZ) idea. This is unfair.
