One of the most frequent questions I get about my e-bikes is "do they go fast/what's the top speed?" And when I respond they're speed limited, people seem disappointed.

But the more I use them, the more I realize this is COMPLETELY missing the point. E-assist on bikes isn't about speed. I don't feel comfortable or safe rocketing down a pathway at 30kms/hr! There are potholes, blind turns, or other people who have more priority over me. 20kms is a really nice comfortable speed, especially when I have my kid but even solo.
