The community protested against the brandishing of assault rifles and the armed Police were told to return their weapons to their truck.

Could we be losing more than $20 billion annually?
I have been challenged to explain how the country might be losing $20 billion annually to IFFs. I start with artisanal mining. Various sources concur that Zim has at least 500,000 full time artisanal miners 2. Lets conservatively say each mukorokoza produces on average 2 grams of gold/day, for 300 days (assuming they rest 65 days each yr) They sell the gold @ $42/g. This translates to 500,000 X 42X 2X 300 = $12,600,000,000 ($12 billion six hundred million dollars)

Until recently, black granite looters and their local collaborators used open trucks to transport their loot to the sea. Now, thanks to advocacy, they use containers to conceal the loot. As I traveled today I saw scores of latest SUVs which pass toll gates without paying a penny. Police and ZINARA officials just open for them on the outer lane. These are supposedly wealthy pple who claim to be patriotic and yet can't even @edmnangarwa @nickmangwana @jamwanda pay 220 bond for the roads they use. These include ZANU PF vehicles, several top government officials who earn big, members of parliament, chiefs etc They use the roads but they pass the burden of maintaining it to the impoverished povo

1. Our 'sanctions-afflicted' Zim is sending a delegation of more than 100 pple to Cop 26 in Glasgow. Some are already there whilst others are packing their bags.
