We mourn the loss of a legendary Texas law enforcement officer and retired Fort Worth police officer, Bill Hardin #196. Deputy Bill Hardin passed away surrounded by his family & loved ones at age 99.
Known as the “oldest and longest serving peace officer in the world”, Deputy Bill Hardin began his career with the Fort Worth Police Department on February 1, 1947.

On June 13, 2020 Fort Worth Police Officer Matthew Brazeal was severely injured in the line of duty when he was intentionally struck by a fleeing vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.
Officer Brazeal sustained life-threatening injuries and has undergone extensive surgeries over the past two days in order to stabilize his condition.
Officer Brazeal is a veteran of the United States Army, where he proudly served his country as a combat medic.
