Story time : tw ableist abuse

I have an overactive bladder, I still don’t know why medically speaking but I have to pee more than most people do and also my GI issues are Bad bad,

So I’m on a roadtrip with my ex husband and tell him I need to go to the bathroom and he says We’re only 15 minutes from the house can you wait?

Now, I have the kinda 🧠that doesn’t inform me of my bodily needs until it’s a 5 alarm issue, it’s a disability and it’s painful. (he knows this)

I’m like no please😭 and then he gets mad at me. But he finds a gas station.

So Covid Conscious Community who wants to explore—

How people who’ve always wanted to be able to k*ll with impunity have weaponized not masking and being asymptomatic?

I mean Specifically the people who KNOW that they’re spreading a life threatening illness and revel in that. The colonizers of yore’s descendants having their hay day re-living what their ancestors did to my ancestors.

Because not everyone who’s out and about unmasked is doing it out of ignorance; some people want to “thin the herd” and don’t care that that’s dehumanizing or eugenics.

I support Palestine.

I do not support Shaun King.

My work speaks for my integrity and devotion to this cause, if you’re confused and hurt by what you’re seeing as a lack of support for the loss of a large Pro-Palestinian Account I encourage you to view this #BlockShaunKing I understand the role he has played in showcasing information coming from Palestine, but I do not believe his intentions were pure, and I do believe intentions matter with regards to doing this kind of work.

Not everyone who says they are your friend is your friend.

I broke down today. I can’t understand how people I know can be going to movies, concerts, and conventions whilst a genocide is going on like things are normal, my partner held me as I cried: I understand the woman who lit herself on fire more than I do some of my best friends. I have contemplated self-immolation more in the past two months than I’ve thought about going to see Renaissance and I sobbed in utter confusion at how anyone is able to achieve any sense of normalcy while all of these people are being killed en masse.

TW: Horrific Deaths, Torture

“All who left the hospital confirm they don’t know what will come of those left behind, including the premature babies.“ - Jihad Abu Shanab Journalist Near Al Shifa Hospital @AJEnglish

Thread of information from this report 🧵 “They were forced to leave at gunpoint and in single file and confirm that the Israeli soldiers humiliated them and abused them on their way out. They have been subjected to severe mortal and mental distress.”

Osama Bin Laden was trending in America.
People by the thousands are reading his letter and becoming stupefied at the fact that he had some actually valid points.

I read it and thought, why does this sound like an MCU bad guy’s monologue right before he blows up an orphanage? How many MCU writers or Military consultants have read this letter and borrowed from it to make the villains in those films seem more realistic?

Revealing the PsyOp
This is a full 112 page document made by 🇮🇱 in 2009 (the same year that Al Jazeera article ‘Isra*l admits to organ thefts’ came out) to teach their followers and supporters the best ways to communicate about their ideology in order to conscript more followers:

The first page tells them to:
-“Show Empathy for BOTH sides!”
-Use Empathy, they teach weaponized empathy in fact
-Read through this it’s actually super wild
-This is effectively why Both Sides arguments are bunk

communicate effectively in support of Israel. But what is the big picture? What are some general guidelines that can help you in your future efforts? Here are the 25 points that matter most: 1) Persuadables won't care how much you know until they know how much vou care. Show Empathy for BOTH sides! The goal of pro-Israel communications is not simply to make people who already love Israel feel good about that decision. The goal is to win new hearts and minds for Israel without losing the support Israel already has. To do this you have to understand that the frame from which most Americans vi...
"cycle of violence that has been going on for thousands of years." Thus, you have to disarm them from their suspicions before they will be open to learning new facts about Israel. The first step to winning trust and friends for Israel is showing that you care about peace for BOTH Israelis and Palestinians and, in particular, a better future for every child. Indeed, the sequence of your conversation is critical and you must start with empathy for BOTH sides first. Open your conversation with strong proven messages such as:
"Israel is committed to a better future for evervone - Israelis and Palestinians alike. Israel wants the pain and suffering to end, and is committed to working with the Palestinians toward a peaceful, diplomatic solution where both sides can have a better future. Let this be a time of hope and opportunity for both the Israeli and the Palestinian people.”
Use Empathy: Even the toughest questions can be turned around if you are willing to accept the notion that the other side has at least some validity. If you begin your response with "I understand and I sympathize with those who..." you are already building the credibility you will need for your audience to empathize and agree with you. Indeed, if the heart of your communications is a chorus of finger pointing of "Israel is right, they are wrong" then you will lose more support for Israel than you will gain. Some people who ALREADY support Israel may nod their heads and s...

I’m gonna say something “mean”absolutely no disrespect to OP

But neoliberal storytellers and their pet “good one” colonizer trope needs to die like yesterday

I’d love it if police/soldier/colonist/knights/imperialist adjacent characters stopped having redemption arcs please🙏🏾 I feel like the “good intention” behind it is to try and convert the blonde-white children in the audience to believing that fighting back against fascism is the Way to Save Us

But I think continuing to center white/blonde/imperialists in narratives is counterintuitive af

The conflict occurring in Lilo and Stitch being about the colonialist state attempting to pull this tiny “broken” native Hawaiian family apart is made more apparent by their both being darker skinned girls

Casting a lighter skinned Hawaiian to play Nani interferes with that Colorism impacts the way we’re treated by the government, by the state, and by society at large

It leads to our having harsher punishments, being given less grace for mistakes and failures, and being perceived as less capable or more fallible
