The Fargo PD will host a press conference at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 15 in the Commission Chambers within Fargo City Hall to provide additional information related to the July 14 critical incident which occurred near 9th Avenue South and 25th Street South in Fargo. Image A total of five individuals sustained injuries. FPD can confirm that one of its officers has died as a result of sustained injuries and two remain in critical condition. Two other civilians sustained serious injuries, including the suspect who died as a result of the shooting.

On Thursday, March 3, the Red River Regional Dispatch Center received calls at approximately 9:35 a.m. and 9:59 a.m. indicating active shooter situations were occurring at area schools, including Ben Franklin Middle School and North High School. A School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to the schools and additional patrol personnel quickly responded and after thorough investigation deemed the threat to be a hoax that originated from outside the region. Grant Funded Seatbelt Enforcement Results in July and August

The Fargo Police Department conducted extra seatbelt enforcement details in July and August using a North Dakota Department of Transportation Seatbelt Enforcement Grant. During this time period, 10 officers conducted 19 enforcement details for a total of 90 hours making 99 enforcement contacts. Officers issued 34 citations for seat belt citations out of 96 total citations, and gave 40 traffic warnings.

The open warrant was confirmed and officers told the driver, identified as Shawn Ray Larkin 38 years old of Fargo, he was under arrest for the warrant.

Larkin wanted to stop at his apartment first before going to jail. He started walking away from officers. At this time officers told him no and attempted to stop him. Larkin resisted arrest and a physical altercation ensued. The struggle caused officers to take Larkin to the ground in an effort to gain control over him. Last night, at 11:53 p.m., an officer attempted to stop a stolen motor vehicle at 30 Avenue South and Wheatland Drive South. The vehicle fled, and the officer did not pursue it. A short while later, another officer saw the vehicle by Krolls on 45 Street South. The driver of the vehicle again fled from the officer at 9 Avenue Circle South even though the officer did not try to stop it. The vehicle was again located in the 900 block of 44 Street South and the officer saw a male running from the vehicle .

#CaseHighlight Over the course of the summer, Fargo Police Officers have taken several reports of burglaries and thefts from motor vehicles. Many times these crimes are committed by the same individuals. On August 6, Logan Stenson, 28 years old of Fargo, was arrested for alleged Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle and Theft of Property with a value greater than $1,000. Stenson allegedly committed these crimes with Matthew Logan, 30 years old with no permanent address. Logan was arrested on June 7 for possession of stolen property,

On Saturday, August 15, Officers responded to a crash in the 700 block of 14 Street North at 10:21 p.m. A motorcycle, driven by Pierce James Kvien, 22 years old of Roseau, MN, was eastbound on 8 Avenue North and was struck at 14 Street North by a car driven by Henry Kulor. Witnesses indicated Kulor’s car was traveling southbound on 14th Street North at a high rate of speed and ran the stop sign at 8 Avenue North before striking the motorcycle. Kulor’s car then struck a utility pole south of the intersection before coming to a stop.

Last Friday, August 7, officers responded to a man down near 4 Ave. and 7 St. N. where they found an unconscious man with apparent injuries. Officers and Detectives have since learned the male, Timothy Sean Burg, 43 years old of Fargo, had been involved in a physical altercation at approx 1:45 a.m. with another male behind the Bismarck. Burg suffered serious injuries and is still in a local hospital.

On August 4 at 12:31 a.m., officers were dispatched to 1102 Westrac Dr. S. for an apparent assault. Upon arriving there, the officers discovered a male with life threatening injuries who was transported to a local hospital. Officers and Detectives determined that a fight allegedly happened between several people, but detectives are still investigating the details. The injured male, Cameron Caleb Camacho, 18 years old of Moorhead, died at the hospital on the afternoon of August 5.

Officers are investigating a multi vehicle injury crash in the 4300 block of 7 Ave. N.

Officers are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 2500 block of Broadway.

Upon their arrival they located a vehicle that was crashed at 7 St. N. and 25 Ave. N. One person is deceased and one person is in the hospital with injuries.

Fargo Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a male who had pointed a gun at someone, put the gun in their garage and walked away. At this time, it is unknown if the male has the gun, but we are treating it as he does. He was last seen in the field east of 3600 42 St. S.

The male is described as white, 5'6", 180 lbs thin build, dark hair, short beard and a backwards baseball cap.

If you see him, DO NOT approach him, call 9-1-1.
