🚨 We have an URGENT message for President Trump and USDA Secretary Rollins: our family farms are in CRISIS.

120 MAHA organizations, farmers, and medical leaders just delivered a call for dramatic changes.

Since 2017, the US has lost over 160,000 family farms.

Why?

Industry consolidation and soaring input costs have forced an average of 63 family farms a day PERMANENTLY out of business.

“Decades of unchecked industry monopoly power and rising input costs are pushing America’s best farmers to the economic brink.”

Americans and farmers voted for President Trump’s MAHA agenda to reverse this crisis.

Now, we urge USDA to take 7 key steps to align its policies and funding priorities with the promises outlined in the MAHA Commission report:

1. Use USDA purchasing power to support healthy food and independent, sustainable farmers.

2. Restore local food and infrastructure programs that children and families rely on for a healthy diet.

3. Advance healthy school meals so that children are not dependent on ultra-processed foods.

4. Support organic and regenerative agriculture to reduce the toxic load in children’s food.

5. Strengthen the Natural Resources Conservation Service to protect our soil.

6. Reform agricultural checkoff programs.

7. Ensure relief programs reach all farmers—not just commodity producers.

The future of our family farmers and our nation’s health are  on the line right now.

Below, we break down how USDA can take these 7 critical steps to deliver the MAHA agenda that the American people and our family farmers demand:

🧵THREADImage First, we urge Secretary Rollins to use USDA purchasing power to support healthy food and independent, sustainable farmers.

USDA’s $5 billion commodity procurement budget OVERWHELMINGLY benefits industrial agribusiness.

Just 25 corporations capture 45% of USDA food spending.

What does this mean for independent farmers?

It squeezes them out of the market—and limits Americans’ access to healthy, sustainably produced food.

We urge USDA to ensure that a meaningful share of these funds, including DoD Fresh purchases, goes to independent producers offering organic foods and pasture-based, humanely raised meat that is free from antibiotics and growth-promoting drugs.

This would provide healthier options for school and federal nutrition programs, empower local farmers, and build resilient, diverse food systems.Image

🚨Corporate power just destroyed thousands of years of independent agriculture in a single generation.

Four corporations—Bayer, Corteva, ChemChina, and BASF—control over 50% of the global seed market.

We’re about to expose how Big Ag patented life itself:

🚨We've investigated the skyrocketing egg prices — again — and new evidence requires urgent action by @FTC and @JusticeATR.

Egg supply restrictions, lavish corporate profits, and a European duopoly on breeding stock are jeopardizing our food supply.

Let's dig into the facts.🧵 First, what's hitting all of us the hardest: Egg prices have skyrocketed since the start of the avian flu pandemic.

The wholesale price of eggs surged from $0.50-$1.30 per dozen in 2021 to $6.00-$8.00 per dozen today.

But isn't that because of avian flu's impact on production?
