Summa you academics write for no one but yourselves. Don't nobody know what the hell you be talking about so not only is your work inaccessible bc of the academy, it's also illegible to the average person
What's the damned point? Who are we educating? Y'all could easily tone those words down so more people can understand them, but nah... you wanna be all multisyllabic and buzzwordy. Esp those of you claiming to write for Blk folks. What is you doing??

Can we be honest about the fact that the reason so many of these conversations on these apps, specifically, go left is because so many people lack the first and last of these? Let’s be honest here for a second
These apps have long been safe havens and water coolers for people lacking in social skills and self-awareness

Back in the day, we called them losers but that’s now PC anymore 🫠🫠🫠

The reason so many ppl are in the QTs agreeing w/Iyanla is bc they were raised on emotional abuse/negligence & were told it was “love”, so they find this kind of emotional violence comforting.

Make no mistake…this is violence. But bc it’s coming from an elder BW many see “love” And at some point, folks are gonna have to interrogate why they equate violence with love and unpack the historical implications of it. What’s the root cause? How was that learned?

And why do we continue to read and receive BW as inherently violent/ mean AND make excuses for it?

What Malcolm understood was that one of the ways white supremacy has denied Black men access to “masculinity” has been in denying them opportunity to “protect” Black women. Denying them chances to perform this patriarchal act has been key in denying them “manhood” He said “we will kill you for our women” knowing that so many Black men hung from trees trying to do just that. He knew that white ppl’s violence convinced Blk men that we were no longer worth the protection bc it cost them their lives. He said forget that, protect them anyway

Circling back to this, I came across a clear example of this specific type of misogynoir. You may not fully understand it, but here’s an example of how men treat BW harsher and tougher. Warning: it’s vile. (Cont) And they are NOT talking abt the light-skinned, curly-haired, petite women either. That isn’t saying those women don’t face abuse just that isn’t who these kinds of men direct their podcast ire towards

Theyre talking abt the brown, round, around-the-way girls from the hood

Yes tho I’m not sure it’s “hope” because there is none in the US “justice” system… rather it’s something more like feeling seen/heard in a world that silences us from our first cries.

So many BW experience gendered violence from childhood to the grave w/no recourse. (Cont) Think abt it

Despite knowing BW have the highest intraracial fatal DV rate, how often are the killers penalized? Sexual assault? Cmon.

How often is “justice” served when the victim is Black and coded “female”?

I think BW are so used to things being this way, historically

Meg did actually lie and why that’s being glossed over is something I won’t understand.

She initially lied to PROTECT Daystar bc she feared for his life. She did what so many BW do in the face of US police.

It was her INSTINCT to lie to protect a Black man. INSTINCT!! Even to her own detriment she was willing to cover for him instinctively

Yet she’s endured people calling her everything under the son and acting like she was plotting to “send another Black man to jail”

How about don’t shoot a Black woman bc y’all had an argument abt rap?

Yoooooo I’m sitting here like “nah don’t want him to go to jail cuz fuck this system” but also like…
Cuz it ain’t even about the system. This could have been handled in Hood Court with Marsha Warfield. She feels vindicated and that matters. Ain’t for me to criticize her.

So @fraudstersLPN has a 3-part series on her that shows her shift from wannabe actress & liberal democrat to grifter “conservative” white supremacist. Seems like a post-Trump rebrand is happening. She does NOT care about Meg. Don’t fall for the silk press & Blk Fem buzzwords. Also: do not believe anything about “Jamal” or “snitches” 🙄🙄🙄
