None of them should be voiced for regular dialogue. It has completely killed a key part of the charm of the Zelda series - like so many other series before it. As someone who *never* played the Zelda games as "Link" the fact that his name isn't even player choice any more is bad enough without having him suddenly talk a bunch.

We actually think it's perfectly valid to be annoyed a AAA action game won't run at 60 FPS on the main console it's been marketed for.

But it's also really funny how we've seen this happen three console cycles in a row now. Console launches with the promise of a new standard only for it to be to hard to optimize for regularly because of the constant rising tech expectations of video games.

Reminded of how Glee of all things had a school shooting episode. Context for anyone who doesn't watch Glee: One episode is suddenly interrupted by gunshots and what follows is a huge chunk of the show played without any jokes as everyone fears for their life and goes into hiding. It's very very awkward.

In the first season of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Nanoha never loses a fight. She struggles, but somehow manages to always turn it around and win.

This is what makes the fact that she loses, and loses big time, in the first episode of the second season so powerful. However, if there had never been a second season, Nanoha would have simply never lost a fight and yet that didn't make that first season dull or make Nanoha a character that isn't exciting to watch fight.

A good story can star a character that doesn't lose for an entire story.

So, in the D4DJ Petit Mix anime shorts, there was a punchline in one episode where Aoi, the butch dansou lady, stepped up out of the hot springs and supposedly had THE BIGGEST MELONS OF THEM ALL - despite usually being flat.

It was depicted as such. Well... It was recently canonized with the D4DJ's game's new years art that Aoi does, indeed, have huge tits.

For those not up to date on The Witch from Mercury's episode situation.

Because of covid, production on episode 12 ran late and missed the deadline for streaming services. So it'll stream a day late.

The TV airing in Japan, and the SEA YouTube upload, went up today. So if you want to watch it today, you have to watch the Japanese version or hope that fan subs drop throughout the day, otherwise it'll stream tomorrow instead.

Well, Prime 3 was meant to be the last game. Prime 4 was only announced in 2017.

Metroid 4 to Metroid 5 is a better comparison because at least that was planned at the time and it took longer.
And of course, if you just count Metroid games, there's not even been much of a gap because before Dread there was Samus Returns and before that there was Federation Force, like it or not.

Metroid is not a good pick if you wanna do the "look how long the gap is" thing.

Rewatching Gravity Falls a decade later and while it's still a lot of fun and worth your time, it's honestly kind of baffling just how rigid the gender roles are and how much casual homophobia and transphobia appears in it as gags. And yes, we know that the show wanted to be more progressive and was shut down by Disney on that at the time - that's kind of the point.
