The appointment of the former managing editor of The Sun, Paul Clarkson, as government press secretary is alarming for anybody aware of the track record of that publication in stoking racism in Britain. Mr. Clarkson had to apologise for a Sun column in which racist grifter Katie Hopkins likened migrants to "cockroaches". Thread. These are tough times & we are helping each other pull though together. We care about keeping our families, friends neighbours & communities safe. Recently, leaflets containing misinformation & conspiracy theories relating to Covid have been delivered to Fingal households We need to ask ourselves who is funding these leaflets and what is their real agenda? We are concerned that individuals with far-right connections are known to be involved in their distribution.

We are THRILLED to provide more than 1000 winter coats, plus warm jumpers & kids clothes, to residents of Direct Provision & Emergency Accommodation centres from our #winterappeal.

#FingalTogether #EndDirectProvision We worked with asylum seekers to identify what they needed for the coming months, and collected warm clothes from Balbriggan, Rush, Swords, Donabate, Malahide and Baldoyle last weekend, sharing information about conditions in DP with the wider community at the same time.
