Three weeks into the new timetable and these S3’s have nearly nailed the start of lesson routine and DO NOW task every period, meaning a purposeful start to the lesson. I know lots of staff already do this but here are my top tips for making this a classroom norm:🧵 🪡
Make it easy by using repetition to hone the routine - (nearly!) always on the board as the class enters, always the same place to do the work (back of sketchbook), always reinforce the routine as pupils enter.
