For anyone who wants to know what I stand for, I lay it all out clearly in this article series. The articles themselves are old now, but the principles still apply.
1. The political left is in a real mess and we need to get our act together.
uncommongroundmedia.com/case-left-prog…2. The reason for this is that most of the left still clings to Modernist (Marxism) and Postmodernist (Neoliberalism, Queer Theory) philosophies which have ultimately failed in understanding humanity and society.
A lot of political and economic arguments seem to work by conflating various potentially unrelated things, so that you supposedly can't have X without Y. Churchill's famous insistence that you couldn't have the NHS without the Gestapo, for instance.
"If you want [good thing], you have to accept [bad thing]"
And this works both ways, from people who claim good thing is worth having bad thing to people who don't want good thing because they're afraid of bad thing.
