On Qunūt for Catastrophes
The following is an explanation of the positions of the four juristic schools on this issue as well as Fitra Foundation’s official position. In instances of exigency or preponderate benefit, we may take the stance of other juristic schools.
As we approach the holiest month of the Islamic year, we urge all mosques worldwide to harness the spiritual power of qunūt. We pray that, through the unification of believing hearts, turned toward God, in love and solidarity, divine mercy may descend upon the Earth.
