I’m uneasy about the idea that it’s the mainstreaming of non-monogamy that has led to bad behaviour. Smacks of intellectual snobbery “Oh the stupid normies aren’t doing it properly!” In reality there have always been people abusing the system. The topic just gets more airtime now
That being said, the wider cultural acceptance of NM rship structures means more people discovering them and deciding to have a go. Purely statistically that’s bound to result in more twattery.

I get it, people are adjusting. Employers aren't sure how this is going to work, whether everything will get done, so they're demanding more and faster.
Some of them are also effectively panic-buying - asking more from you now IN CASE you get struck down and can't work.
