In 2016, the YPG/PKK/SDF fought alongside Assad forces to besiege and capture Free Aleppo. The YPG requested and received close air support from the Russian Air Force to seize Tel Rifaat, an Arab town which fiercely resisted ISIS, and then paraded the corpses of fallen FSA. 🧵
