The habitat loss in Mr Littleproud's electorate of Maranoa represents a 43 per cent decline, hurting at least 85 threatened species, including the koala, greater bilby, black-throated finch and long-nosed potoroo. 2/2/ Melissa Price's Durack, which is the largest electorate in the nation, was the seventh worst for habitat destruction. The Aged Pension Fund. The history of the Age Pension Fund is not-well-known & it goes back to 1945, when Prime Minister Ben Chifley became aware of grinding poverty amongst the elderly. /22/ He was shocked, and a referendum was put to the people of Australia; and the outcome was a welfare fund contributed to by every Aussie worker, at a rate of 7.5% of gross income (at the time, in Australia and New Zealand, one and sixpence in the pound). /3

Rubbish people: The former media adviser to employment minister Michaelia Cash has taken a job with the Australian Hotels Association (AHA). David De Garis resigned from Cash's office in October after admitting he tipped off media outlets about police raids on union offices. /2
/2 De Garis has now resurfaced as the media & communications officer for the AHA in Perth. In August, while De Garis was working as the employment minister's chief media strategist, Cash announced a deal to create up to 10,000 internships with the AHA. /3
