HOW ELON MUSK AND TESLA COULD BECOME THE WORLDS FIRST DAO (DECENTRALISED AUTONOMOUS ORGANISATION)

TESLA => DAO
2
SOME BACKGROUND TO THIS,
A WHILE BACK WITH YOU MAY REMEMBER THAT TESLA RECENTLY BOUGHT BILLIONS WORTH OF BITCOIN, THEY ANNOUNCED THIS, THEN THEY SOLD 10% TO PROVE LIQUIDITY.

A WHILE LATER, AFTER MANIPULATING THE PRICE DOGE

ELON ANNOUNCES BITCOIN HAS ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES
3
FIRST OF ALL SATOSHI HIMSELF THE CONCERNS OF ENVIRONMENTALISM.

SATSOHIS ARGUMENT IS "UTILITY OF THE EXCHANGES MADE POSSIBLE BY BITCOIN WILL FAR EXCEED THE COST OF ELECTRICITY USED. THEREFORE *NOT* HAVING BITCOIN WOULD BE THE NET WASTE" - SATSOHI, 07/08/2010.

The first form of programmable money? Censorship-free? This is a big claim. Let's elaborate. For hundreds of years people have utilized the medium of money in order to buy and sell goods and services.

Thread
However, there has always been an industry in the middle controlling how this money is transferred (or more accurately, monitored and controlled).
Banks have always been the middle-man in these transactions, meaning that when you transfer money from point A to point B, a record of that transaction is maintained. So what does "censorship-free" actually mean?

Reminds me of how under developed crypto is rn
Copy and pasting hash addresses is so low tech.
Future will be just putting in someone’s @ sending them money or subscribing and then they being able to automatically lend the money out and generate interest with no oversight.

If a person is too greedy trying to get 100% equity of a project.

They would be better off getting 10% equity of 100 projects.

Exposure is the name of game.

Optimise for deal flow.
Hate working with greedy people.
I don’t really care if people fuck me over.

They just fuck themselves over in the long run.

Noticing a bad trend with crypto founders. I talk to a lot of them. Many get too excited with initial price action. I ask them how they plan to capture and manage liquidity. They usually don’t have an answer.
Don’t call it a community wallet. Call it a war chest.
Holding 100% of your token. Seems like bad risk management.

But the concept of diversifying or even locking up tokens to earn interest still is new to people.

But I get it. It’s very fast paced industry.

not sure why but as i grow older i become less bullish on bitcoin compared to other cryptos.
Not sure that’s a strong argument. I know of more projects working on eth than on btc.

If crypto is the vehicle, then the return of the individual is the destination
Crypto is a new decentralized internet money system that will change the way we think of power, and it will transfer a large amount of power from corporation, governments back to the individual.
The next phase of the web. - It’s a platform. A tool on top of which you can build amazing things. A better web for us all. - This is about libraries, schools, universities, money, healthcare, transportation, government and more. ....

some notes from unfinished essay

thread

Crypto-anarchy as exit to the current political turmoil and decline of the west.

The crypto-anarchist movement did not rise out of the ether. It came about as a direct result of the failure of political institutions.
Governments, central banks and corporations have accumulated too much power and wealth and made decisions that benefit them more than they benefit us.
The widespread adoption of crypto-anarchism as an economic system has occurred because people are waking up to the fact that we have no real choice but to live in a decentralized way. We can no longer depend on the actions of government or corporations to provide for our needs.

my main thesis of modern america, is that 9/11 was the demarcation point of america and the world.

everything has been downhill since then...
other theories claim the 60s or 50s were the sliding down, but i disagree, in terms of cultural dominance, america was the top cultural producer, in the 90s... the world was american, through its hypercapitalism of the dotcom bubble to sitcom television. we were all americans
the films of the 90s are a cultural snapshot, there were tense race relations, but they were more subtle back then, back then class consciousness was much higher in woke ideology than race consciousness, to borrow their terms.

jackie chan is an american hero, not a chinese one

It was once said

Brazil has opera houses but no functioning sewer system. And america has the opposite.
I suppose the modern day equivalent of a phrase once said a couple hundred years ago would be

America has a state ideology without a functioning central government whereas China has the opposite.
Argentina and Uruguay are whiter than america and Canada. Some interesting facts.

watching this crypto interview with @BanklessHQ and @markcuban on why NFTs are the future

im blown away

Mark Cuban said

#defi is america 2.0...

ill reply in this thread my notes from the podcast

@BanklessHQ @markcuban #DeFi IS AMERICA 2.0

- MARK CUBAN
CUBAN COMPARES CURRENT CRYPTO MARKET TO THE DOT COM BUBBLE

SAYS THERES ALOT OF HYPE AND NARRATIVE...

SAME AS THE DOT COM BUBBLE.

BUT THE FUNDAMNETALS ARE THE PEOPLE

THE PEOPLE WHO ARE BUILDING THESE PROJECTS

Nice. Watching this.

Just recently re read crypto currents by land last week
this goes into a lot of detail, the paper itself explores alot of the philosophical and economic ramifications of crypto and bitcoin.

i think however the paper is too entrenched in economics rather the technological ramifications, but not a fatal sin.
some points i disagree with, said

"keynes ruined everything" - Keynes didnt advocate for eternal stimulus

"bitcoin create objective truth" - it creates a version of the truth, it doesnt diminish alternate chain histories... clashes can happen all the time. (oracle)

ON THE TOKENISATION OF TGE INTERNET.

@a16z Podcast: Why Crypto Tokens Matter by a16z on #SoundCloud soundcloud.app.goo.gl/DvxsH8DPpUW8xv…
Pretty informative. But one contention is conflation in price n value. Price is an abstract signifier
They also talk about how crypto is ultimately a reshaping of the foundations and protocols of the internet

They talk about economising the internet where value is transacted as a base layer rather than on top

Let’s see if we can build something that can make corporations obsolete.

πŸ„
You know why dinosaurs n insects grew so large?

It was because of high amounts of oxygen in the atmosphere.

As fungus didn’t break down lignin in trees.

@meta_spore is trying to do the same to corporations.

Corporate entities need better liquidity.
Corporations are dinosaurs. They shouldn’t exist in the modern world.

Liquidity and exchange of goods and services should be peer to peer.

When Adam smith envisioned the invisible hand guiding the baker he didn’t see these mega structures

reading the @Polkadot light paper currently

one thing sticks out to me

"Will there eventually be one blockchain to
rule them all? We don’t think so."

ill post my thoughts in this thread
@Polkadot first couple pages espouse the philosophy of the polkadot system

one of Interoperability

it does this via "sharding"
@Polkadot i think this is a good move for the crypto space and why i dont think one chain will rule them but rather chains and networks operate like websites and platforms

"More chains and more specialization means
more possibilities for innovation."- @Polkadot

Cover Strauss Marx and Zizek

Social Distortions | Ideology and the Real in America by Peter-Rollins on #SoundCloud soundcloud.app.goo.gl/ao3GtKiZtj3cgH…
The real does not exist but rather Is an antagonism according to Strauss.
The presenter does a great job at the start outlining the symptoms. And the conclusion. But he makes the wrong medicine. He outlines how ideology and the β€œmap” is unreal as reality is subjective but then he makes the mistake of trying to rectify it. But outlining the problem …
