Secretary of Defense Austin served 41 years in the Army & retired as a 4-Star General. His last assignment: Commander of Central Command, overseeing ALL operations in the Middle East (contains 560 million people & 25 ethnic groups in the most hostile area in the world).

The DNC was in Chicago. The Uber driver, waiter, & worker is well aware of COVID risk. It’s an assumption to act as if they don’t & it’s irrational to place blame specifically on DNC attendees.

COVID doesn’t just spread at the DNC. We agree, not that you asked for a productive conversation. There should be increased awareness & protections during this uptick in cases. Fact is many local and state authorities are doing so re advertising vaccines & encouraging masking (which costs a lot of tax dollars).
