Besides the fact that $70 means different things to all of us, I have a hard time doing the "is it worth $70" because I'd have to imagine that I'm 1. Not in games media 2. not doing any gaming content at all

Before I had this job I was trying to get this job so I played a lot. I literally have to imagine being a different person and then what that imagined self would want to play. I know trolls will be like "FrEe GaMe 4 JuRnO" but I don't actually get codes for everything. I bought Mario Golf last year to stream and never played it again.

How I went from teaching to games media (a thread until I write it for @GameInd_Guides)

I had already been writing, podcasting, & doing YouTube for about 2-3 years but I didn’t have anything set up tbh. I didn’t even have money saved. I just realized my plan wasn’t working. I wanted to grow my games career big enough to comfortably switch over but during my first year of FT teaching I realized I had no time to do the work I needed to do to grow my games career. I was also exhausted and frustrated.

Now that the embargo is up I can now say #Borderlands3 has the worst jokes & writing of any video game I've ever played. The guns may feel good but mowing down enemy after enemy for repetitive missions & brutally uninspired side quests for 30+ hours absolutely sucks. (Thread) I can't comment on how it compares to the others in the franchise but the humor is about what it's always been (according to my colleagues). I guess that means it has always been bad. I think fans will feel right at home OR like they've outgrown literal toilet humor.
