This video is so friggin' cool. We just finished editing our Failure Analysis Lab video about the AMD Ryzen 7800X3D CPUs that died in our test benches. The video is rendering now! We learned a TON from this one. Super excited for this one! Should post late/later today. More ⬇️ Image The lab performed X-rays, scanning electron microscopy, high magnification microscopy, CSAM, and more. This image is an example of a cross-section (with the die preserved in sectioning epoxy, basically) of a failed CCD. ⬇️

Just keeping everyone updated: Out of about 130 emails so far to the 4090cable inbox, we've received 7 that are 150V rated wires (and therefore potentially indicative of different supply), so 5%. That rating doesn't instantly mean it's bad. Replying to a few for info And to be really, really clear so people don't panic: Again, we have no evidence presently to suggest 150V cables are instantly bad. All that means is they're the same as what Igor showed - we assume older supply, but not sure. We're trying to get some for testing.

One correction in 13900K review: We just noticed the power efficiency chart contains a charting error. This error doesn't change any of our conclusions (CPU is still 300W, after all, and the rest of the results are plotted correctly). However, there is an error, so correction: I accidentally plotted the power efficiency for a different test for the 13900K, but the chart is for Blender -- so the numbers are correct but they're for the wrong software. That particular chart should be between 32.5-37.0, depending on if you calculate it warm or cold.

If you have had a return, refund, or RMA issue with Newegg that you feel is similar to the story we posted, please email it to egg@gamersnexus.net with as much documentation as you have available (receipt/invoice, photos of the product or damage if relevant, chat support logs, etc We want to make sure Newegg understands this happens as much as it does. No hiding behind just one employee or just one issue. We are trying to HELP Newegg be better because we actually want competition in this space. Amazon becoming the only seller would be bad, too. Likewise,

It has been an absolute nightmare doing this thoroughly, but we're finally confident in the differences between PS5 cooling design. Working on processing the data. We did true like-for-like testing by transplanting the cooler to the same PCB and tcouple wiring. Lots more too. The main piece will be a collaboration with @digitalfoundry, with follow-ups planned as we found many more differences worth testing.

We're not covering the Amazon video card thing because I'm trying to not live in my office 24/7 for once and have been planning to go biking for a few days. I'm now seeing dumbass reddit comments where they accuse us of "covering" for EVGA. I'd really appreciate it if you guys2/4 wouldn't freak out if we don't talk about something for 24 hours because (1) it's still developing, and (2) maybe I want a break and can't be expected to always rearrange my life for PC hardware. I've sacrificed a lot over the last 14 years to stay on top of PC hardware, and
