FTX is a Bahamian crypto exchange founded in 2019 by Sam Bankman-Fried(SBF) & Gary Wang.
Prior to FTX, SBF had also founded Alameda Research, a quantitative trading firm in 2017. As of August 2021, SBF owned around 90% of Alameda Research.
