BREAKING: SEB was NOT consulted over Charlie Parker’s £50k side hustle. He apologises and along with Chief Minister says it was “a genuine oversight”.

@ITVChannelTV Meanwhile, SEB has asked for “administrative shortcomings” to be corrected and if potential conflicts of interests crop up that they are flagged up.

That’s confirmation Charlie Parker was in breach of his contract of employment for nearly two months but escapes punishment.

Guernsey’s latest government briefing now underway. Highlights in this thread as it goes along:

•From 6.30pm today nightclubs and bars that don’t serve food will close
•Restaurants and pubs that serve food can’t serve alcohol to non-diners
•Will last at least next 10 days •Understand it’s short notice for licencees but it’s necessary, esp with students back for Easter and some saying they’re planning to go out drinking
•Follow spirit of rules, not just letter of law for good of community
•Desire is for businesses to trade but only in a safe way
