Russia and India have about the same annual military budgets. Look at what the Russian budget supports, and we know what we have got. The Russian spend about a third of what the Chinese do.
The Global Firepower Index shows Russia at second place.
Like India, Britain, France, Germany and Japan have similar annual military budgets. Yet on a budget like that Russia is willing and able to deploy power in far away places.
Biggest problem facing the country is the concentration of wealth in the hands of few and their complete lack of confidence in the the economy going forward.
What has happened over the last eight years is that Modi has followed an agenda of making people poor (to make them dependent on the government and thus appear as their savior when giving free ration, etc.) and transfer the money into the hands of the rich.
What will happen if Gautam Adani's empire collapses?
Many people are asking these questions. This is because the group is heavily into debt, some 2,20,000 Crores of it.
And there are fears that it may not be able to service this debt and may collapse.
But when it collapses, what will happen to the share holders?
The big relief is that retail investors are not holding too much equity in his companies.

There was once a chairman of Medical Council of India, Mr. Ketan Desai, from Apro Gujarat.
He was caught in a medical college sanction scam. CBI arrested him for allowing a private college to give admissions to an MBBS course.
After Modi returned to power, Ketan Desai returned to MCI.
It takes close to 5 Crores to produce an MBBS doctor in India. And it is a long course. After spending such a huge amount of money, people expect doctors to be benevolent and treat patients for almost free.
It is reprehensible that any country can attack another sovereign country in this date and time and the world watches.
UN has always been a useless organization. It has lost all its relevance.
That is why there have been so many conflicts across the world. UN is not a democratic organization, some countries are more equal than others. They have special powers called the 'Veto' powers. They can veto any resolution that they don't like.
