Joyce Meyer did a sit down chat and spoke about how her mother knew her father was not only raping her but MULTIPLE children in the neighborhood and some of her classmates. Did NOTHING to stop it. When she became an adult and became THEE Joyce Meyer, she said that their relationship was nuanced. She said God put it on her heart to take care of her mother financially and make sure she was cared for at the nursing home and had absolutely everything she could need. I tried to do the same with my own mother all my life. Pastor Joyce said her mother

While I do agree everyone is responsible for their own sexual health, allow me to give a glimpse what it’s like to truly stand on fucking business when it comes to demanding STD tests from potential partners.

1. I have been called a whore so many times by men I cant even count. Mind you, I have been celibate for 7 years (8 in March). I never set a time limit on it. I just knew I didnt want to have sex again unless I was in a relationship

I am an epidemiologist and I specialize in infectious diseases & WROTE MY THESIS on HIV, I understand sexual health

If you or someone you know need Paxlovid, you have two options for the QUICKEST way to obtain it (details in the comments) 🧵 1. Obtain a copy of any lab results depicting your liver or kidney function. Your biometric screenings will have this and you have to do this annually for insurance anyway. Check your MyChart or call/login online for QuestDiagnostics or LabCorp.

I just read a story of a woman who was talking about the concept of ugly & beautiful for women. She said she grew up w/ it being made very clear she was ugly. She said as a grown woman, people threw garbage at her or moved away from her. Just her presence made them hateful to her I cant even breathe. That is a living nightmare. How does one exist in the world that way. That poor woman.

Hi! Epidemiologist here!

Just an FYI and a clarification of this video: just because you do not feel sick, does not mean you do not have COVID. Wastewater data estimates 1 in 3 of you have it.

You cant “FEEL” organ or neurological damage per se. Doesnt mean it aint happening. I used to have this friend who was a “health nut,” but she was also someone who would rather dig through her own feces looking for “parasites” than wear a mask or get vaccinated. It was such a great insight for me into the way the average American is conceptualizing COVID.

Being pregnant in jail is one of the worst things that could ever happen to you. My mother was incarcerated and gave me up to strangers to avoid this. Reproductive rights dont exist behind bars. Here’s some myths about reproductive health behind bars:

🧵 Myth #1. Healthcare is free for the incarcerated.

Couldnt be further from the truth. Despite women in my own state making anywhere from $0.04 to $0.40/hr, incarcerated people across the US pay copays & even deductibles for healthcare & don’t have access to a FULL range of care

Crime is not a result of moral failure. I stole money at 19-21 because my father was dead and my mother was disabled and we were losing the house and I was hungry and had no help or anyone to turn to. My very rich grandfather refused to help me at the time (something he claims not to remember but I will still recall on my death bed) and I had to do something. I saved my mother and I. Nobody else. And I took the consequences in stride. I earned them anyway. And now Im on the other side of it. And grateful I had a judge who saw my humanity.

University in California did a comprehensive study of school/mass/spree shooters of all ages & found that the common link between them ALL is a vehement hatred of women (80% had a history of domestic violence). Most killed a female relative/gf/wife immediately prior to the event "Most mass shooters have a history of domestic or family violence in their background," said Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
