About 2 months ago I hit the follow wall of 7,501 accounts.

I couldn't follow anyone else and my engagement was trash.

Since then I have been working to re-balance my "follow ratio".

I will share what I have learned so far. 🧵 Image When you follow lots of accounts that don't follow you back the X algorithm turns you invisible.

I think this is why pro 🇺🇦 accounts don't get seen. It's not because they are pro-Ukraine.

It's because their follow ratio is off.

Here's how I easily find fellas to follow back and unfollow those who don't.

Without the endless scrolling. Image Tools needed:

- Twitter Data archive

- unzip tool (winzip etc)

- Google sheets (or other spreadsheet that lets you open links)

About the X FOLLOW-BACK LIMIT

Another fella and I have hit it. This is a 🧵 about what I have learned.

We have almost the same follow ratio and can only follow one or two accounts per day.

If you haven't followed these accounts back, please do so now.

X doesn't care who follows who, only that the follow is mutual.

Because I've passed 5,000 followers & I follow a lot more accounts than follow me, I am restricted.
