#EnnoreGasLeak: 67.6 tonnes of ammonia is estimated to have leaked from the pipeline of Coromandel on Dec 26. As per the technical committee, #CycloneMichaung caused boulders along the sea to move, possibly damaging the pipeline ++ @THChennai The damage was reportedly not noticed by the firm and its marine divers when they visually inspected the undersea pipeline on Dec 23. The ammonia pipeline is kept at 2kg/cm2 vapour pressure when not in use; safety checks are carried once a year up to 6kg/cm2. ++
